Frequently Asked Subsidy Questions
Clear answers to the most common customer questions about government solar aid.
How exactly does the subsidy money get credited?
The subsidy is transferred directly from the central government via Public Financial Management System (PFMS) into the bank account linked with your national portal registration. No middleman touches your funds.
What if my current sanctioned load is only 1 kW or 2 kW and I want a 3 kW solar plant?
Laxmi Solar submits an online Load Extension Application with MSEDCL simultaneously with your solar application. Sanctioned load increases usually take 5–7 days.
Does the electricity meter have to be in my name?
Yes. The electricity connection and the national portal registration name must match. If the meter is in your ancestor's or previous owner's name, our documentation desk assists you with MSEDCL name change.
Can housing societies apply for PM Surya Ghar?
Yes! Cooperative Housing Societies (CHS) receive ₹18,000 per kW central subsidy up to 500 kW capacity for common facilities like elevators, water pumps, corridor lighting, and EV chargers.
What are DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) solar modules?
To qualify for PM Surya Ghar subsidies, the central government mandates that solar cells and modules must be manufactured in India. Laxmi Solar exclusively installs certified Tier-1 DCR modules for all subsidized residential projects.
